Evaluation
Here I will be evaluating my Project as whole with my overall thoughts of the project and what I found personally easy or what I found most difficult.
When first starting this project I had already come up with a few ideas for what I could've done as a potential thesis within under the four different thesis types to choose from, with one being an argumentative thesis talking about the how sales in American comics are dwindling and Japanese manga are taking over in popularity in the west with a source from ICv2 that shows monthly sales of overall graphic novels with the majority of the successful ones being from Japanese authors and a small handful of American authors. A second Thesis idea that I thought had good potential, and one that I ended up going with, was talking about Gacha games and their addictive nature, I decided to this originally as a narrative styled Thesis, though throughout the actual thesis it's slowly turned into an amalgamation of both narrative and argumentative.
Once I chose my idea I went to Google forms and created a survey form which I had sent to my other classmates as well as friends outside of college to participate in the survey, with I'd say a third of the answers I had received being useful information that I can include into my Thesis.
Before I actually started my thesis I need to find necessary sources to use as references within my thesis, but I luckily was able to find the sources within roughly twenty minutes of searching. Once I had found the sources I made sure to save them to my Thesis Sources page to use them when I finally start my Thesis.
When it came to the actual thesis itself, I did find it a bit difficult to begin, I though "how do i start this", "what should I specifically begin with", but after quickly discussing with one of my teachers on what to do for my thesis, I found it a whole lot easier to begin my thesis, and later that evening, I started writing the first 300 words of the thesis, for the rest of the thesis I kept trying different ideas but felt a stumped, not sure what I was going to do next until the final day, I finally knew how and what I was going to do for my thesis, and within the first hour of the day, I had a total of 1,100 words written with relevant research and references to sources I borrowed from, I just needed 400 more words, which I was able to write out and complete the thesis out by the end of lunch.
I personally found the first half of the thesis project easy to setup and get done, whereas the actual thesis itself I found to be very challenging and difficult, but I manage to overcome it and got it finished on time. With this project finally done and over with I can finally fully focus my time onto my Final Project.
