Citation

Citation is used by scholars to reference any sources they may have used for their thesis work. This is done to protect the writers from possible accusations of plagiarism as well as for the reader to find and read the referenced material.

This also shows that your work has validity and shows that you the writer, have been investigating the the topic very thoroughly.

To properly cite from another thesis and/or book the format is done as "Author/Date/Page" for example we have (Smith 2012, p.6).

Whereas referencing from the internet is done slightly different as you first have an in-text citation showcasing the quote with the authors name and the year of the article being published in brackets, with the back of the thesis having any and all reference entries that appear in the text that is a lot more detailed with the exact date of the published online article as well as a hyperlink taking the reader directly to the article source.

Planning

For my thesis work I began coming up with a plan for how I'll be writing and structuring my thesis on my personal experience with gacha games. I will also be implementing evidence for any specific topics I may discuss like the gambling enabling side of gacha games and find some examples, with one such example I could use being Tectone, A popular gacha game Twitch streamer, talking about his very own experiences with a particular type of mobile gacha game.

I plan for the introductory part of my thesis to quickly explain what a gacha game is, and name a few examples as well as naming a few IPs (intellectual properties) that have their own gacha game.

Me and one of my teachers on the course, created a jamboard I can use to light of my own ideas for the thesis as well as them including a few additions of information and goals to do for my thesis project.
